I forgot to leave a review on this at first for some reason!
Anyways, yeah, long story short, I fuckin' love this. It's such an interesting, lively take on By Your Side that I would've never really imagined. The use of the octave fall at 1:22 doesn't really fit, as I had said, and there are some minor hiccups, but like, DAMN, I wouldn't have expected such a jubilant, progressive, well-constructed piece to come out of the first 20 seconds of melody from BYS, and I intended for the original to be really soulful and liberating in a more negative, reflective light. I'm really impressed with how you put this together and put such a twist on it, and no minor hiccup can truly tarnish the quality of what you've done here. <3

This is flawless!
You've got a gift, man. Keep being you. :)

Aw, hell yeaa!

Oooooh I like what I'm hearing!
I had no idea you made music! As for recommendations, I'd maybe use an EQ or something of the sort to bring the bass and the.. non-bass parts (?) together a bit more. As for pacing and stuff like that, it's actually really nice. This could be developed into a really sophisticated track if the mixing and mastering are tackled the right way.
I especially loved that buildup at the end. The kick is a little strong, but the way that the sound carries through and picks up is really nicely done!
Giving a track variety and balance sounds like an oxymoron, but that's what makes music production fun. Just keep that in mind in case you get discouraged at all.
I'm probably not the most informed person when it comes to stuff like this, but don't hesitate to ask for help or for feedback if you end up getting stuck. Keep it up. :)

Thanks for the big review hado! As soon as I learn how to make a drop of some kind and make it energetic enough, I'll continue finishing this song and extend it, but for the time being it's kinda just hanging around in my folder of unfinished stuff. I'll try to implement the improvements you suggested :)

Whoooa, lots is happening here! lol
I had NO idea you made music! I can hear a lot of improvement from Stretchy to this one here, but there are still some things that could use some touching up. As Alka said in his review, there isn't really a main melody that people can follow along with, but really it isn't a bad start at all.
I can tell that you're trying to lean towards the styles of the songs that you use in your levels, and I definitely appreciate that. We need more songs like those. The only downside is that those songs can be pretty difficult to make, depending on how complex they are. Something like Ramen Carnage is a product that would take a LOT of practice to come up with.
Make sure you're making your variation prominent and noticeable, but also not to a point where it compromises the song's integrity. EQing your sounds and making sure instruments aren't overpowering other instruments is also really important. The song stays consistent with its mood, but it's never a bad thing to let it move a little bit. Think of a song as a story; it's supposed to go from point A to point B. :)
Also, there are a lot of presets and stuff online that I would recommend looking for. One of the problems with most DAWs (DAWs being programs like FL Studio, Ableton Live, Auxy, Reaper, etc.) is that there are never enough sounds that you can choose from. Plugins are a great way to optimize and diversify your sounds as well. It's always nice to have an arsenal of them at your side just in case. ;)
I'm definitely not the most informed person to ask, but if you need any help with this kind of stuff, let me know. ;p

Cheers,

Woaaah, thanks for the review Hado! I don't really aim to be a producer but for sure I'll follow your recommendations for my next songo :D

Always loved this one! I'm glad to see that you uploaded this one here, I was seeking it out! :p
As a song itself, aside for some repetition (which is inevitable with a looping Undertale song, I suppose) and some minor discrepancies with the stereo separation in the drums, this is a really groovin' piece, and I admit to having listened to it waaaay more than just a couple times over yonder on your YouTube channel. :p

Whooooa!
I was expecting something similar to your YouTube content, but what I'm hearing is a complete different genre. Not only that, it's exponentially more in-depth and detailed, in sound design, melody, pacing, the whole enchilada, and I must say, this is really impressive! :)

With only a few minor mastering issues, this is a really nicely executed song! I look forward to hearing more from you! I'm proud to say I signed the petition you've put here in your Author Comments, and I hope it serves its purpose! <3

OMG! It's you! I love your Geometry Dash levels! Thanks so much! I sent the petition to RobTop and I hope it convinces him! Thanks for your help!!

Daaaaamn! For your first track, this is outstanding! Aside from some lack of ambience in some places and some rough spots with the mastering and variation, you've got an amazing start right here! I'm a tad envious, if I'm being honest!
(Also, I heard those Lil Jon samples.. :p )

Ridens responds:

Thank you so much haha,
It´s not really my first track. I have another one on this account but i don´t think it´s as good haha

I´m learning to master right now. I know i have to get a better mix too,

Thank you for the review!

Whoooa! You turned this into something beautiful! <3
Nice work on finishing up the lyrics; the instrumental is really impressive as well. You've come so far!

DJ-Zyzyx responds:

thanks so much hadoken <3 <3

I make silly EDM as SirHadoken, and more serious indie singer/songwriter music as DeFord.
I also help other musicians with the Geometry Dash whitelisting process.
